The Debut of Axl/DC

I've been told that I should start blogging (or something like that)! So, why not try it!

Well, we've finally gotten at taste of the Axl Rose led AC/DC. And, to be honest, I think I must just be sold on it!

Now, let me preface this by saying that I, like so many, was traumatized when it was revealed that Brian Johnson couldn't perform anymore. I, too, was horrified at the mere thought that Brian was (possibly) kicked to the curb by Angus/the band.

But with that said, Brian is NOT currently in AC/DC, and it's doubtful that he will return. What we have, at least for the time being, is an AC/DC led by none-other than Axl Rose. Back when the rumors of Axl taking over lead duties, I once again was met with trepidation. We all know that Axl not only has a world-class ego, but has shown signs of major vocal-ability-decline, in recent years.

Well, now, I've seen, via Periscope, an Axl run AC/DC, and I must admit. he sounded pretty damn good! Now I see what Angus saw in him. Maybe it's the fact that he's gotten in shape for the massive GNR reunion tour. Maybe it's because he was still confined to a chair, because of his foot injury. I don't know. But Axl was sounding the best that I have heard from him in years. (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume he was using little to no backing tracks.) Now, I find myself saying, "This might just work!" I'm actually kinda excited to see him with AC/DC at the yet-to-be rescheduled Madison Square Garden date.

So, I must say, "Axl. You've pulled it off, bro! Good work!" Just make sure you don't blow out your voice before that GNR tour! While many of us are grateful to have you fronting AC/DC, we've been waiting for this GNR tour for YEARS!
